One of the best and easiest WordPress feature is having the drag & drop Widgets. It’s totally a problem solver in case you need to insert anything on your website areas.
Couple of months ago, I’ve published an article on How to Hide WordPress Widgets on Desktop or Mobile Devices and created a plugin solely for that feature. But the more I’ve been relying on widgets for some of my plugins like GilidPanel, Footer Reveal, LeFooter and etc. the more I’ve realized that I need to solve my customers problem on how to control the visibility of the widgets they’re using.
I’ve been recommending Display Widget Plugin before since it’s totally free and easy to use but let’s be honest, this plugin doesn’t cover some areas you need to show and hide the widgets to your site. So to speed up my website development and for my customer’s sake to have additional feature that will make there life easier I’ve created Widget Options, which is free on .org repository.
This plugin is very user-friendly and easy to use options that will be available on each widget after you’ve added them on the Sidebar Widgets. Below are the things you can do when you’ve activated this plugin :
- Show or hide widgets on specific WordPress pages – control visibility on different pages, posts, custom post types, categories, tags and custom taxonomies.
- Show or hide widgets on desktop, tablet and/or mobile devices – restrict widgets on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
- Custom WordPress widget alignments – change widget content alignment to left, right, center or justified alignment.
Go ahead and take more control over your WordPress Widgets! You might wanna check the plugin reviews added by the users : https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/widget-options and don’t forget to add yours after using this amazing plugin. Thanks!
